Momentos Immortalis Testimonials & Press
I was recently given the honor to give an interview to my good friends at ripplefx.org. They really love my artwork and wanted to do a feature article on me as an artist and the inspiration behind some of my pieces. Here is the link to the article for your reading pleasure!
"It is with extreme appreciation and satisfaction that I share my students experience with Christin Silva the owner of “Momentos Immortalis” featuring the fine arts of customized collages. I am a Special Education Teacher running the Quinnipiac/Cheshire Transition Program for special education students ages 18-21. For the past two years we welcomed Christin on campus here at Q.U. to offer our students the opportunity to create their own customized collage. The first year our students produced a “Dreams and Hopes” themed board, the second year they produced their own “Inspirational board”. Both activities fit perfectly with our curriculum complimenting their goals for the year. Christin was the ultimate professional, well prepared, all necessary materials, and very detailed which made for a fun, effective, valuable learning experience for our students. We were joined by Quinnipiac OT students that were also impressed with the activity and how positive and well our students took to it. Quinnipiac OT professors stopped in to compliment Christin on what a great way for our students to express themselves. Christin’s high energy, artistic creative talent, and passion for teaching people were evident and contagious. She was able to capture our students attention from the start our students were highly motivated throughout the whole activity. I would highly recommend her program to all school age children from pre-school to grade 12, the general public, geriatrics, and rehabilitation centers. We are looking forward to Christin coming again next year. Here are some comments from our students: “ 5 star activity” I loved it”, “wonderful activity for singles ready to mingle” “ shared it with my family” “proud to hang it in my room”, “fun and easy” “made me feel happy”. Suffice to say Christin’s customized collage activity was a big success!"
